The JVC KD-X561DBT provides the perfect solution if you’re looking to upgrade/update the original factory-fitted Alpine single DIN head unit in your Land Rover Defender.

The ‘mechless’ design (no CD player) of the JVC KD-X561DBT makes it approximately 50mm shallower than traditional CD equipped head-units. The shallow 111mm depth of the JVC KD-X561DBT frees up some much needed extra space within the Defender dashboard to create more room for your wiring and makes installation and removal of the head unit a stress-free task. The picture above shows the difference in length between the JVC mechless design and a traditional single DIN unit.

Aside from its physical advantages, the JVC KD-X561DBT is packed with additional tech features you’d expect from the JVC Kenwood brand.

The colour TFT display signals an end to trying to read scrolling calculator style LED displays and trying to hit tiny buttons on-the-move to select sub-menus and functions.

The 3-inch TFT Screen provides easy to read menu and function selection at-a-glance.

In addition, the TFT display doubles up as a full colour reverse camera screen. A neat feature of the camera function is that in addition to activating with reverse gear, it also offers a manual ‘on’ option to let you keep an eye on that trailer load while on the move.

The single large rotary button with ‘scroll and push-to-select’ function provides intuitive menu navigation and function selection.

Other features you’d expect of a high-end unit are all included on the JVC KD-X561DBT. These include, DAB+ (DAB antenna required), Bluetooth connectivity for your phone and music, front mounted Aux-In socket, front mounted USB 2.0 socket with rapid charge for iPhone, Sub-Woofer output, camera input, two phone connection for driver and passenger, three pre-outs, Mp4, WAV, FLAC & H.264 file compatibility.

The JVC KD-X561DBT is supplied with mounting cage, microphone and user manual.

Important! Please Read

The back of the JVC head unit is equipped with an ISO car-audio socket that's designed to accept the industry standard ISO car-audio connections. An adapter cable to connect the JVC head unit to the Defender's factory radio loom is not supplied. If your vehicle already has an aftermarket head unit, then you may find that your existing wiring already has the ISO connections and therefore will fit directly into the back of the JVC head unit. If your vehicle is not fitted with the ISO connections as standard we can supply an adaptor harness to convert the vehicle specific stereo harness to ISO connections.
