Mud UK's ISO adaptor harnesses are designed to be used when replacing the factory fitted head units in the Defender. The harnesses will convert the respective Land Rover stereo wiring harness used on different Defender models into the industry standard ISO wiring style plugs commonly found on modern head units. The ISO harness provides a plug-&-play solution to your Defender stereo upgrade.

The Flat Pin ISO adaptor is used when replacing the factory fit radio-cassette head unit found in the 200 and 300 Tdi Models.

The Round Pin ISO adaptor is used when replacing the factory fit CD/Radio head unit found in the Td5 models.

The ‘Puma’ ISO adaptor is used when replacing the factory fit Alpine head unit found in Tdci models from 2010-onwards.

*Important! Please note that pre-2010 Puma/Tdci models were fitted with the same Alpine head unit as the later cars, except the earlier model Defenders were equipped with an ISO connection on the wiring harness. No ISO adaptor harness is needed with these earlier Alpine head units. If you have a 2009-2010 model Defender we always advise you remove the head unit to check the head unit wiring and confirm whether you need an ISO adaptor or not.

If your Land Rover has had its factory installed head unit replaced, irrespective of age, then there’s a good chance you may have already have ISO connections on the back of the head unit.  The only way to tell is to remove the head unit and check.
