A huge amount of work has gone into developing the ‘Raid’ style winch bumper with improved approach angle, good protection and light weight.
The tubular construction and infill panels with swaged holes are inspired by the Baja and rally raid space frame designs that have evolved to be lightweight and super strong. No exterior painted bodywork needs to be cut or trimmed, however some trimming of non-critical behind the bumper material is required to make space for the winch installation. The bumper is 6 point mounted to the chassis for maximum strength and the winch mounting area is designed to take Terrafirma and most other popular winch models. There is provision for a pair of TFSRP swivel recovery eyes and the original fog lights can be replaced with TF713 spot lights neatly located within the curves of the front bumper.
The matching ‘Raid’ style rear bumper is pre drilled for TFSRP swivel recovery points, will accept the original tail lights and can incorporate standard towing equipment as well as Terrafirma receiver hitches. There is also provision for a swing away spare wheel carrier on one side and a swing away jerry can/shovel and hi lift jack carrier on the other.
