This is a brand new steering box, not a remanufactured or reconditioned unit. Your old unit is not required as an exchange, saving both time and surcharge costs.
This steering box can be fitted as a replacement for Adwest 4 bolt steering boxes, and can also be used in place of earlier 3 bolt and 6 bolt steering boxes where applicable.
Installation Note
Drop arm nut must be tightened to 176Nm, and the installer should ensure this is rechecked after initial use.
Important Fitment Note
This steering box is an aftermarket replacement and is not a direct like-for-like replacement for the original Adwest 4 bolt steering box.
The unit is based on the Trustweer-style steering box, meaning the orientation of some components differs slightly from the original factory unit. As a result, installation may require minor adjustment during fitting, particularly when aligning pipework and mounting positions.
Customers looking for a direct bolt-on replacement identical to the original Adwest unit may wish to consider a higher specification OE-style steering box instead.
