The MUD Half-Door Trim’s have been designed to fit the split Series doors that have separate door bottoms and door tops. These doors were fitted on Series II, IIa & III models as well as some Defenders such as military variants and North American Specification 90s.
The MUD Half-Door Trim’s are moulded from a matt black ABS material and are supplied as a pair (LH & RH). Each pair of door trims comes supplied with two high quality storage nets, two plastic moulded handles and all the fixings required.
When fitted the MUD Half-Door Trims provide an Original Equipment level of finish and appearance that exceeds the traditional vinyl covered hardboard or industrial chequer plate alternatives. The MUD Half-Door Trim’s have been designed to allow you to remove the door tops without having to remove the door trims.
The nets are sourced from the same German net manufacturer who supplies Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and BMW and feature a plastic moulded frame and elasticated mesh netting. With a typically MUD level of attention to detail, the handles supplied are the exact same plastic door handles used by Land Rover in the Defender model.
The MUD Half-Door Trim moulding have been designed to accommodate both early style lift up handles and the later 'anti-burst' style handles. Frequently Asked Questions
Will the MUD half-door trims replace the one piece door trims in my very early model Ninety/One Ten fitted with one piece doors and external lift-up door handles?
Unfortunately not. These were only ever made in limited numbers and their scarcity makes tooling up to create a replacement uneconomically viable.
Are the MUD half-door trims suitable for fitting my standard Defender one piece doors with wind-up windows?
No.
