This is therefore a complete five-injector replacement kit with the seals and washers required when fitting the injectors.
Important – Injector Coding Required
Each TD5 injector has its own individual calibration code. After fitting, the injector codes must be programmed into the engine ECU/ECM using suitable Land Rover-compatible diagnostic equipment.
The correct injector code must be assigned to the corresponding cylinder so that the engine management system can compensate accurately for the characteristics of each injector.
Exchange Injectors
These are reconditioned exchange units, not new Genuine Land Rover injectors. Land Rover no longer produce these injectors as they were made obsolete around 2020. Our set have been reconditioned by a Land Rover OEM supplier and offer a cost-effective alternative when replacing a complete set of TD5 injectors.
Why Might TD5 Injectors Need Replacing?
As TD5 injectors age or develop an internal fault, they may no longer deliver fuel as accurately or consistently as intended. A failing injector can contribute to symptoms such as rough or uneven running, misfiring, poor starting, loss of performance or excessive exhaust smoke.
Because similar symptoms on a TD5 can also be caused by other faults — including problems with the injector wiring harness or fuel system — we recommend carrying out suitable diagnostic checks before replacing the injectors.

Do TD5 injectors need coding after fitting?
Yes. Each injector has an individual calibration code which must be programmed into the engine ECU/ECM after installation. Land Rover's TD5 technical documentation specifically requires this when an injector is replaced.
How do I know whether these are the correct early or later TD5 injectors?
LRC2308 is for Defender and Discovery 2 TD5 vehicles up to chassis/VIN 1A746340 onwards. Later vehicles require the later 15p injector type.
