Fully Built Up Complete Left-Hand Front Door
Comes complete with door card and door hinges with mirror.
This is the later TDCI spec door as used on Defender models 2005-2016.
These are assembled using an OEM door (from the same manufacturer that supplies Land Rover themselves) which is made from zinc-plated steel to increase longevity.
The frame on this is a one piece pressing and has the rounded top corners to the frame. These are the much saught after doors which normally go for a lot of money second hand, however with the second hand ones, when they are available you are never sure of their origin.
These are a direct replacement for all Defender models 2005-2016 however they can also be retrofitted to earlier models.
This door is ready to bolt on - held on the bulkhead with 4x bolts - this is all you need to swap your door!
These save hours and hours in labour time. This is the best door on the market, it will have great longevity & you know its provenance as it is a brand new item.
Every nut, bolts and screw used to attach the parts to the door are stainless steel.
They come with the option of the small diamater lock push button door handle (for Defender 1983-2002) and also the option of the large diameter lock push button door handle. (For Defender 2002-2016). Or with the option of a blanked off push button door handle (normally found on central locking models).
If you do not know which you have just measure the lock diamater. The smaller type is 16mm in diamater, the larger lock 20mm.
Available options:
Manual or Central Locking:
This is to either keep the door with just the standard manual locks or for us to fit a genuine Land Rover central locking actuator and associated link rods. If you choose to add the central locking you will also need to choose the door wiring loom so you can connect power to the central locking actuator, unless you wish to make your own loom.
If you did wish to make your own door loom you would need to remove the door card to fit the loom. If you choose us to add the loom, the loom will be fitted before we fit the door card leaving a connector plug hanging out of the door card (in the factory position) so it is ready to connect up and therefore a lot more straightforward.
Manual or Electric Window Winder Mechanism:
This is to either keep the door with just the standard manual window mechanism or for us to fit an electric window mechanism. If you choose to add electric windows you will also need to choose the door wiring loom so you can connect power to the electric window mechanism, unless you wish to make or supply your own loom.
If you did wish to make your own door loom you would need to remove the door card to fit the loom. If you choose us to add the loom, the loom will be fitted before we fit the door card leaving a connector plug hanging out of the door card (in the factory position) so it is ready to connect up and therefore a lot more straightforward.
With or Without Door Loom:
This is only required if you choose electric windows and/or central locking. This is to add a genuine Land Rover wiring loom to the door so you are left with a central locking plug and /or electric window plug coming out of the door card ready to connect up.
