Curved Hoops are the standard fitting hoop for most Series ones, however Flat hood sticks were used on the very 1st Series 1 Land Rovers for the 3 & 7 man type hood with Brass Gauze windows and the Bootlace hoods for Pre production Vehicles.
Make sure when you order Series 1 Hood sticks that your Hood and Stick set match: so either Flat or curved (all models are curved type unless stated as Flat).
