Replace rusty, damaged or incomplete original headlamp mounting parts with this fitting kit for one standard 7-inch headlamp.

The kit includes the headlamp mounting bowl, retaining components, black outer finishing ring and the standard adjustment and fixing hardware. It fits either the left- or right-hand side of the vehicle and uses the existing mounting points without drilling or modification.

Please note: this listing is for one headlamp fitting kit only. Order two kits to replace both sides. The headlamp itself is not included.

Fitting information

The kit uses the vehicle’s existing headlamp mounting points and wiring. No drilling, cutting or other vehicle modifications are required.

Standard black or stainless-steel version?

This standard DA1158 kit includes a black outer ring, which blends neatly into the traditional Defender, Series and Range Rover Classic front end.

A stainless-steel version is also available. Stainless steel provides better long-term corrosion resistance, but its visible outer ring has a silver finish. Customers wanting maximum resistance to rust may prefer the stainless version, while those who want the darker original-style appearance may prefer this black-ring kit.

Is DA1158 supplied as a pair?

No. DA1158 is a fitting kit for one headlamp. Order a quantity of two if you are replacing both sides.

Does the kit include the actual headlamp?

No. The headlamp or LED lighting unit must be purchased separately.

Is this for a 7-inch or 8-inch headlamp?

The kit is designed to hold a standard 7-inch headlamp.

Will it fit an LED headlamp?

Yes. It accepts standard-size 7-inch LED headlamps as well as conventional sealed-beam and H4 halogen units.

Can it be fitted on either side?

Yes. The same kit can be used for either the left- or right-hand headlamp.

Does it fit both right-hand-drive and left-hand-drive vehicles?

Yes. The mounting kit is suitable for both RHD and LHD vehicles. The headlamp unit itself must still provide the correct beam pattern for the vehicle and country in which it will be used.

Is any drilling or modification required?

No. The kit is a direct replacement that uses the existing mounting points and wiring.

Why would I need this kit?

The original headlamp bowls, rings and fittings commonly become rusty or damaged with age. DA1158 allows these old components to be replaced and is particularly useful when fitting new halogen or LED headlamps.
