Created in conjunction with Connects2 the Defender Reverse Camera is a Land Rover Defender specific reverse camera kit that integrates with the standard Defender Rear Washer jet located above the rear window. It will fit all ages of Land Rover Defender fitted with a rear washer jet.
Available in AHD or standard resolution please check with is compatible with your head-unit before purchase.
Superior field of vision
The high-level camera location provides both a stealthy factory appearance and a centralised high-level location for the camera image to provide a more useful field of rearward vision than other aftermarket cameras.
150° viewing angle
The camera supplied provides a 150° viewing angle with parking lines and is IP68 rated. The kit includes a rubber seal that fits between the camera and the body of the vehicle.
Body colour match
The Defender specific camera housing is made of plastic and can be painted if you wish. This allows you to body match the colour of your Defender to create a subtle camera mount that looks like it was always there.
Comprehensive wiring kit
The Connects2 Defender Reverse Camera kit is supplied with wiring harness and all fixings required including a drilling template and even a hole-saw. You can also add a MUD piggy back loom if you wish to simplify installation. The piggy back loom saves time and effort by plugging into your reverse lamp to create a positive and negative fly lead which you can wire straight into the camera loom.
Standard and AHD both available
The Connects2 Defender Reverse Camera kit is available with either an AHD (720P) camera or CVBS (600 lines) camera options. Make sure you select the camera kit that’s compatible with your head unit.
Which camera kit is best for my head-unit?
The CVBS camera provides a non-HD image and is the most common/standard type of camera compatible with all types of screens found in modern head-units.
The AHD camera is only suitable for head-units with High-Definition screens. AHD screens are typically found in high-end large-screen head-units, such as the Stinger Heigh10, Alpine Halo range and Kenwood models with floating screens. Fitting a HD camera into a head-unit with a non-HD screen will not magically result in a better-quality camera image on your non-HD head-unit. On the contrary, all you’ll get is a black screen and a non-functioning camera!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the camera see the tow bar?
No. There is a spare tyre in the way. It is not a magic camera…
I have upgraded my rear washer jet with an aftermarket billet aluminium washer jet. Will the Connects2 Defender camera kit work with my aftermarket washer jet?
As you can see from the pictures, the camera mount has been designed to follow the outline of the OE washer jet as closely as possible. Most aftermarket washer jets are physically larger than the OE washer jet so will not be compatible with the camera housing.
