LiqRep Plastic – The fast-curing 2-part polyurethane adhesive
This fast-curing 2-part adhesive based on polyurethane is suitable for repairing and bonding plastic parts to the engine and bodywork, as well as for bonding or filling holes, cracks and joints. The polyurethane adhesive bonds superbly to plastics (e.g. PMMA, ABS, PC, PVC, PA6, HPL, PS, GRP), rubber/elastomers, and a variety of other materials such as metal, wood, stone, concrete and glass. LiqRep Plastic is suitable for repairing bumpers, spoilers, radiator grilles, headlight housings, interior trims, brackets and clips, air filter housings and much more. The patented adhesive formulation is solvent free and does not require any isocyanate certificate for users
LiqRep Metal – The 2-part liquid metal compound based on epoxy resin
This two-part liquid metal compound based on epoxy resin boasts excellent adhesion to metals such as iron, steel, cast iron and aluminium, as well as ceramics, concrete, wood and many types of plastic. LiqRep Metal is therefore ideal for filling, levelling or bonding cracks, holes, and incorrect drilling and for filling cavities. Typical application examples include bonding body parts such as door sills, doors, wheel cut-outs, side panels, wheel arches, vents, and intake manifolds, and repairing threads and moulded and cast parts. LiqRep Metal is free from silicone, solvents, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Optimum mixing ratio and precise application with the LiqRep Mixing Tubes and LiqRep Dispensing Gun
To ensure a perfect mixing ratio of the two parts and guarantee optimum results, Elring supplies the cartridges with two mixing nozzles. The grid-like structure inside the mixing nozzles ensures that the two parts are perfectly mixed and the chemical reaction is optimised. This avoids imprecise mixing by the user. The LiqRep Dispensing Gun replaces the integrated dispensing system in comparable trigger cartridges. Precision dispensing and exact results can be achieved thanks to the easy application and convenient handling of the LiqRep Dispensing Gun.
Tips for optimum use
• Observe the included safety data sheets and safety instructions
• Wear protective equipment
• Surfaces must be clean and free from contamination
• Clean with isopropyl alcohol if necessary
• If possible, sand the surfaces beforehand
• Drill additional holes for mechanical anchoring
• Briefly flame PP/PE surfaces for application with LiqRep Plastic beforehand (max. 0.5 – 1 second)
